passprotPPL will process the DS-11 Passport Application on behalf of the US Department of State. Renewal Applications are mailed directly to the passport agency by the applicant. For more information on renewals, use this link: DS-82

Appointments should be made in advance by calling a Passport Agent at 347-7111 as agents are not always available to process walk-in requests. Certified U.S. birth certificate, current driver’s license, and passport photos are all required documentation for new passports.  Complete list of all items needed to process your application.   Fee of $25 for each passport processed  is payable to Pekin Public Library by cash, check, Visa or MasterCard at time of processing.  Fees to be sent in with application are shown below:

ADULT Fees (16 and Older)

Passport Card $30 payable to US Dept of State
Must be check or money order
CHILDREN Fees (15 and under)
Passport Book $80 payable to US Dept of State

Our registration officers are available most days the library is open.

You qualify to register to vote if:

(1) you are a US citizen (2) are 18 years of age by Election Day and (3) have been a resident of Illinois for 30 days prior to the election. You must provide 2 forms of identification and the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number to register.

Test Proctoring

Pekin Public Library offers free test proctoring services!  Students who need to have a test proctored must coordinate with their institution and the library. The Test Proctor will work with students to schedule a time that works for both people.  Follow these guidelines to arrange for proctoring services.
