  • Home School Class - World Mythology February 27, 2017 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

    World Mythology: Last year's classical mythology students have requested a sequel! World Mythology will explore ancient stories that are told allover the globe. We'll meet some crazy heroes, find out where the names of the days of the week come from, map the locations of stories with common themes from many different cultures, and apply ancient truths to current situations. Once again we'll use puzzles, games, posters, food, and songs to help us remember important ideas. Starting in September, students from third grade through high school are invited to attend bimonthly on the second and fourth Mondays from 9:30 - 11:00. The instructor will be available for additional discussion from 11:00 - 11:30. For more information call 347-7111 ext. 3. Please register for this class in Youth Services.

  • STEM Adventures, Grades 3-6: Candy Science February 28, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

    In STEM Adventures, children in grades 3-6 investigate topics in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. This month's topic is candy science. Do you know how they get the Ms on M&Ms? How about how chocolate is made? Together we will explore the science of sweets!

    If you have a knack and passion for creative writing, and are looking for a place for peer support, for networking, to share stories and for feedback and encouragement, you will want to join us. The Circle is open to Playwrights and Poets, Bloggers and Freelancers, Children’s authors and Graphic Novelists, Fiction and Nonfiction writers - anyone who enjoys writing in any form.

    Mommy and baby yoga class that teaches techniques in gentle breathing and stretching, which can aid in babies' digestion.
