  • Learn 3D Design for 3D printing! DOMAIN July 22, 2017 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

    Want to use our 3D printer? 3 easy steps to using the 3D printer in our Digital Media Lab:

    1 - Have demonstrated knowledge of 3D design software. Come to this class and learn the basics of simple, free! easy-to-use design software OR if you have completed more advanced training, that counts too!

    2 -- Attend an orientation to learn how to use the library's 3D Printer. Orientation is included as part of this class (if you already have design knowledge, you may want to just come to the printer orientation at approximately 3:15.)

    3-- Once you have learned design basics, and attended an orientation, you gain access to the Pekin Public Library's Digital Media Lab. Lab is available at your convenience during regular library hours.

    All you need to start designing in an interest and a valid email account! (Email account required for the free design software.)

    The Boxtrolls, a community of quirky, mischievous creatures who have lovingly raised an orphaned human boy named Eggs (voiced by Isaac Hempstead-Wright) in the amazing cavernous home they've built beneath the streets of Cheesebridge. When the town's villain, Archibald Snatcher (Academy Award winner Ben Kingsley), comes up with a plot to get rid of the Boxtrolls, Eggs decides to venture above ground, "into the light," where he meets and teams up with fabulously feisty Winnifred (Elle Fanning). Together, they devise a daring plan to save Eggs' family.
