The great thing about eBooks is that you never have to return them! The system automatically clears them from your device on your due date – which means you never accrue late fees! You may WANT to return your books; for example, if you have read all 5 of your books before their due dates, you will need to return your ebooks in order to download some more. To return books early….
KINDLE format books –Login to your Amazon account and go to “Manage Your Content and Devices”. Find the book you wish to return, and from the “Actions” dropdown menu choose “Return”. (Note: “Delete” will take the book off your Amazon account but WILL NOT return it to the library.)
Overdrive EPUB format books – from the Overdrive App, Touch & Hold the book jacket of the title you will to return. When the options come up, choose to “Return” the book.
axis360 books – From Checkout, on the far right of the book you want to return, you will tap the “more” symbol, or swipe (depending on your device) to see a Return option.
AMAZON – eBooks in the Kindle format are managed through Amazon. Kindles and Kindle Fires must have an Amazon account to download books designated as Kindle books. Some non-Kindle devices can read Kindle format books through the use of the Kindle App. The Kindle App requires an Amazon account as well.
Kindle Fire users can download EPUB books through the Overdrive App. Because these books are NOT Kindle books, they do not require an Amazon account, although they play on a Kindle device.
