You qualify to register to vote if:
...you are a US citizen
...you are 18 by Election Day
...you have been a resident of IL for 30 days prior to the election
Must show 2 forms of ID and know last 4 digits of Social Security Number. Registrars are available during most library hours.
Students must coordinate with their institution and our library. Our Test Proctor will review institution guidelines to assure compliance before scheduling a test date. (Some internet/hardware requirements set by online institutions cannot be met.)
Students are responsible for the following:
--The student must coordinate with their educational institution and the Pekin Library; we are not responsible for determining the requirements for, nor the materials needed to complete your test.
--The student is responsible for emailing the test requirements (given to the student from the school) along with the requested test date to: firstname.lastname@example.org
AT LEAST 2 weeks prior to testing deadlines, to arrange a time, and insure all paperwork can be completed per institution instruction.
--The student is required to provide a pre-paid envelope for a written test that requires return via mail.
--The student is responsible for knowing the test deadlines.
--The student must provide current photo ID, and the name on the ID must match the name on the testing materials.
--The student must provide all of the supplies needed to complete the test, including: headphones, pencil/paper, laptop, etc.

Any patron may use an age appropriate computer lab – a library card is NOT required.

--Sessions last 60 minutes adults and teens/ 30 minutes children
--Youth computers are for toddlers – 6th graders
--7th - 12th grade use MAC computers in Domain
--Adult computers are for 7th grade and above

Pekin Public Library can not control the information content available through global resources. Technology protection measures are installed on all of the library’s public computers. These filters are designed to block sites with obscenity or child pornography, or are harmful to minors. Filtering software is not a substitute for parental supervision. Parents are expected to monitor and supervise their children’s use of the Internet since the library staff are unable to do so. Library patrons must use the Internet within the guidelines of acceptable use. Violation may result in the loss of library privileges, and illegal acts involving the Library’s equipment may be subject to prosecution.
